Soooooooo, yesterday nigh I saw Sunset Rubdown for the first time. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Spencer Krug is a sweetheart and the show was INTENSE. I only wish that it wasn't a school night and that I could of been able to stay for the encore, I just hope that they didn't play Stadiums and Shrines II since it's my fav. That would suck. The opening bands, Witchies and Elfin Saddle were pretty good as well. The setlist went a long the lines of this:
The Empty Threats of Little Lord
Idiot Heart
The Taming of the Hands that Came Back to Life
Winged/Wicked Things
Black Swan
Silver Moons
Coming to at Dawn
Paper Lace (Swan Lake cover)
You Go On Ahead (Trumpet Trumpet II)
The Mending of the Gown
and I think there was also one or two other new songs, overall lasted a little more than an hour and I left at 11:30 since I had to go home and do my Concert Report for Music the next day. Good thing I drank all of that coffee to stay awake or I wouldn't of lasted
I'M PSYCHED FOR MORE MUSICAL ENDEVOURS
BRING IT ON, PITCHFORK 09!
