Today's a day that will go in the books...

First I will begin by giving a completely detail oriented description of my day. I woke up and felt really tired and thought about skipping my first class and just sleeping in. But then I decided that I already missed one class and that that was enough since I want to get all the attendance/participation points I possibly can out of Speech. So after a few minutes of laying around I finally got up and got ready. I could tell that it was going to be a relatively cool day like yesterday so I dressed according to the temperature. Mint green AA tee shirt, jeans that I rolled up to show some ankle (oOooH) and flip flops (EXPOSED FEET). Made it to Speech, took notes the usual stuff then headed off to Music class. I thought my teacher would be back today since he missed Monday and Wednesday but guess what? Substitute and we ended up watching a documentary on the history of JAZZ. I've never had a teacher that's missed a whole week of class, except for my Latin American Lit class last semester but that was only because she had a (suicidal) death in her family, so it was reasonable. My music teacher was probably still on 4th of july vacation and was too lazy to come in. I'm just glad that I'm doing good in that class so I don't have to worry about it.

after all that I got home and Angela picked me up shortly afterwards and we were all like "What to doooo?" and she was like "LETS GO FLY" on a plane, so that's what we did. Went to Wheeling, IL which isn't that far and got there at 7:30. We didn't actually get in the plane til 8ish since they had to wait for a plane. Mind you, I haven't been on a plane since I was probably 5. Once I got inside the plane, which was really small, just a 4 seater, Me, Angela, and the instructor guy that was pretty nice. I started to get nervous and felt my heart racing. Then we took off and it was the scariest thing ever. That was the worst part though, after that it was really nice. It was already night so the city was all light up and just really pretty. The whole thing was probably a half hour. My favorite part was when we were right above downtown and you could see the lake, and then we flew right over the lake, and god, it just really makes you appreciate the city and how beautiful it is. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life, just because it was spontaneous and not something I would normally ever do. After that we went headed back and Angela asked the instructor guy a bunch of aviation que's since she's going to school to be a pilot. And now I'm here.

I guess at the end of the day I'm just glad to be alive and well.
